midnight sonata

it's been a while since my last blog entry. i guess i've been busy being a father to a wonderful kid and a husband to a loving wife. everything's doing well in my life. there's absolutely no regrets.

the journey just gets better everyday. and i have God to thank that for.

well, those few lines did summarize the gist of what had happened and its really quite late now.

happy new year!!!

first off, we've finally tied the knot. well, not a church wedding but officially nonetheless. everythings doing great! i'll be working on another company come 5th of january 2009. the benefits are great and i hope this is it. it's been a long road of crossroads and i really want to finally take this route. i'm not getting any younger and being a father (soon to be - officially) makes your choices different than before. but i'm glad God have help me made the right choices, and i know He will continue to guide and bless our family.

thank you.

balik-bayan

it's almost a month now...and yeah i'm home.

i really like the company i'm currently with, except that we're undermanned and it means tight deadlines and more work. but most of the 'simple pleasures' that i was looking for a company (t-shit, jeans, sneakers at work, able to work at home) are all allowed. really cool! i hope more developers will be hired so we could work and learn together.

few more months and our baby will officially be a citizen of the Earth. we haven't decided on the name yet and we still don't know it's gender so that'll have to wait. my soon to be wife and i are currently working on our civil wedding and will probably have it this nov or dec. may God bless our marriage and may we be the best parent to our kid(s).

drifting

let it be. not as conspicuous as it may. keep 'em in their paranoia. allow not for the current to erode the soil. follow you stream. embrace those that flow beside. you're the captain of your destiny. rocks and turns are your friend. enjoy the ride. live your life.

...

oookay, it's been a while since my last blog and a lot of things have transpired but I guess only two of them are worthy to be mentioned. First of, I'm going back in the Philippines. I've started scouting for jobs back home since last month as I really planned on returning by October. It was kinda hard getting one especially once they realized you are out of the country and wouldn't be available for exams or personal interviews. But anyway, I just continued reading my emails from jobstreet and jobsdb until it finally paid of. Last week I got an email for a job interview. After confirming that I'm still in Singapore, we decided to do it informally, the YM way.
Everything went well, we have agreed with my expected salary and have informed me about the company and the projects we'll be dealing with and even offered to shoulder my plane ticket. I'm really excited to join them as I see a lot of challenging projects and oppurtunity to further learn and upgrade my skills.
Next, is the dada thing. And yes, although I did say 'it's not happening soon' from my previous blog, somehow it did :) I'm certainly not going to elaborate on how we did it but it was quite an experience. I'm a bit apprehensive but really more excited.I haven't told Raquel yet about my coming home. I plan to surprise her and i'm sure she's gonna be glad.
