when the wind blew

i am about to embark on a journey i have never planned. a sudden decision brought about by a gush of wind which may never again pass. like a leaf, i may choose to let that wind take me far from my tree, or i can hold still and let it pass. i love the tree where i belong. the tree which has embraced me from every storm. yet, a fruit will never be a tree if he's afraid to fall hard on the ground and rot. roots only grow when you're borrowed deep in darkness...alone. and i know nothing will make them even more proud than for their fruits to be trees themselves.

may His light shine upon and His rain of blessings grant such wish.

i love good reads. not necessarily perplexing but rather oozing with style with a brush of mediocre theme. and it's the author's choice of words and phrases that shred my coat to reveal my envious skin. i have never loved english composition during my academic years. have skimmed novels before, eagerly consuming early chapters only to pause when it's halfway. either i'm beginning to get bored or realization finally caught me feigning to understand words i never knew exist. but recently i've been introduced to several good novels and online articles which somehow inspired me to rekindle a curiosity i have longed ignored. i am learning new words now, mostly from phrases. a lame attempt at improving my vocabulary. my rudimentary grammar and style allows me to write simple sentences but not long narratives. i find it hard to compose my ideas and come up with a coherent story. but for my blog entries, guess my bare writings would suffice.

at last!

last night i've finally decided to get myself a digital camera. i wanted to buy a camera phone instead, but after weighing pros and cons, i settled for the former. olympus FE-170, 6MP, 3x optical zoom, 2.5 inch hypercrystal lcd, digital image stabilization, etc. it also comes with a free 128MB XD card. it was fairly easy to use specially for a novice such as i. at P9995.00 value, this would be the most expensive gift i've given myself...so far.
